It all begins with an idea.
When owner, Kaleb Van Veldhuizen, started Optic Air in 2014, he had no idea the business would grow to what it is today.
Kaleb and his family took a huge leap of faith to get Optic Air started. Growing up working on the family farm, Kaleb knew there was something more for him out there. He started with obtaining his private license, then advancing to his commercial license while his passion for aviation continued to grow. After spraying full time for a couple of years, Kaleb was able to purchase his first plane in 2011. He now has 29 planes and employs 30+ pilots and 7 mechanics. He is excited to bring in more employees to the Sioux County area as they continue to grow. Just 2 years ago, he was able to build his own state of the art hangar at the KSXK airport located in Maurice, IA. And yet, there is so much to come!
Since the beginning, Kaleb has taken comfort in the successful team he has created. The Optic Air team takes pride in upholding a professional reputation with our clients to get the job accomplished in a precise and timely manner. Although we are growing each day, our team currently consists of mechanics and pilots. We follow a team-oriented approach, ensuring your project is executed as planned within the specified timeframe and budget. As a service-focused company, we are dedicated to meeting your requirements, and your satisfaction is our guarantee.
