Mechanic Employment
Optic Air is hiring A&P aircraft mechanics for our fleet of Piper Aztec and Cessna 172 aircraft in Maurice, IA at KSXK . We are an aerial survey company flying projects throughout the United States and Canada. This is a year round, full time position. Our fleet is continuing to grow rapidly, and we are looking to add motivated mechanics to our team. Core Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on various types of aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer guidelines
Conduct thorough inspections and diagnose aircraft systems, components, and engines to determine necessary repairs and modifications
Repair and replace defective parts using hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and testing equipment
Perform complex repairs, installations, and modifications on airframes, engines, and systems
Complete and maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on industry advancements and regulatory changes
Qualifications
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate (Required)
Knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and engines
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
